Introduce your horse to working cows in a safe and fun manner, while improving your partnership and confidence! Will work at each pair’s comfort level, starting with approaching and moving among the herd and when ready working towards cutting a cow from the herd and pushing it, and letting the horse track the cow. Clinician Heather Kornemann has 30 years experience riding and training cutting and ranch horses with a focus on the California bridle horse and vaquero tradition. Small groups, 90 minute session $150. Two sessions for the same horse and rider for $250.
Amelia has helped and encouraged thousands of riders through her Dressage Academy and popular YouTube channel. Now here's a chance to clinic with her in person! Amelia Newcomb is a USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medalist and has trained numerous horses from green-broke through Grand Prix. She uses theories from both natural horsemanship and classical dressage to create a holistic approach to training with an emphasis on trust, understanding, and relaxation for both horse and rider.
Clinic will cover basic rules, how to get started, and tips and techniques. Emphasis will be on good horsemanship, not speed. This is a great cross training event for any discipline to work on turning, impulsion, or just more variety in your arena work! Clinician Tracy Maurer has over 20 years experience training horses and riders in a variety of western disciplines. In addition to barrel racing, Tracy has done gymkhana, won championships in trail trials, and worked as an exercise rider and was a winning thoroughbred racing trainer. Saturday, October 9.
